Christian Perry is a veteran, a college graduate, a basketball coach, and a father. Born and raised on the South Side of Chicago, Christian has been through a lot—depression, anxiety, self-doubt, divorce, and even homelessness. 

 

But his story doesn't end there. He joined the military and spent four years serving his country and gaining valuable experience—including becoming a father. Then he worked his way through college, turning a 1.8 GPA from high school into back-to-back semesters on the Dean's List and then a diploma. 

 

Despite the hard times in Christian's life, he has never given up. As he began to lead in more and more arenas of life, the people around him began to ask why: why was he able to keep going?
